February 1, 2015, Sunday

Steven washing dishes.

Scott playing with the center tube from a roll of paper towels.

Steven washing dishes, view from other side.  (ha ha!)

Looking south out the camper door.

Looking east from the camper door.

Looking west.

Looking north.  Odie laying in the yard.

Scott ran up to the camper window to have his picture taken.

Steven riding his bicycle off through the desert.

We planted some stuff.
There are two zucchini planted in each circle.

I cleared debris from another patch of ground and put old cow and burro manure on it.

The left half has been crumbled to powder, ready to mix with the sand for planting.

I planted carrots on the left half, three rows of peas in the right half.
I also dug up and fertilized another plot and planted spinach.
Steven planted some of our old potatoes that were starting to sprout.

Some of the cow manure was really hard and dry, so I put it in a bucket and covered it
with water to 'soften'.

In the afternoon we went to the spring and fed a couple of pieces of old bread to
the little fishes at the hot spring.

Scott flung a whole piece instead of tearing it up!

Look close, there's lots of little fishies coming to eat the bread.

Steven and Scott

Scott climbing on the railing of the foot bridge.

Delightful smile!

Time to play in the warm water.

Steven and Scott in the lower pool.

Scott likes to throw that plastic board up the little water fall and watch
it wash over and down into the pool

They're watching for it to pop up out of the water below the falls.

I took a picture of the three of us in the lower pool.

January 31, 2015, Saturday

Cow poop on the desert.

I put cow poop and burro poop in a garbage bag to take back to camp for
amending the sandy soil for planting.

Scott hiding Steven's water bottle behind his back and laughing.

Grandpa made a big show of looking for his water bottle, which
made Scott laugh and laugh.

Just a view of the clouds and scenery from the lawn swing.

Our camp site.

Scott took this and the next several pictures.
Odie running up through the yard.

Our friend, Rusty, and his dog Mollly, with Odie.  Steven and I sitting over by
the camper.  Scott took this picture.

More pictures by Scott.

Scott took this hilarious picture of Odie!

Rusty getting ready to throw the ball for Odie.

Rusty.
Scott takes good pictures for a 4-year old.

He even takes pictures of things like his feet!

I took this picture.  The moon over the lake.

Scott has a 'cave' back in the middle of a cluster of bushes.

Emerging from his cave.

Our shadows.

Scott running joyously like an airplane.

Another picture of the moon over the lake.

January 30, 2015, Thursday

Scott asleep, the stuffed snake cuddled in his arms.

Oh my goodness!  A rainy day!  What a rare treat in the desert!

Look close.  Grass is coming up along the road.

Here's a close-up of the grass coming up.

January 28, 2015, Wednesday

Sunrise at the lake.

Early morning light, looking west from the back window of the camper.

Sunrise, looking east, a little later than the first picture.

Sunrise looking south.

Scott missed sunrise!

Cool looking clouds, looking north from our lawn swing.

Guess where we went today?  The park again!

Scott played with Matthew.

Scott and Matthew looking hopefully at the swings.

Scott paying with a girl after Matthew left.

January 27, 2015, Tuesday

Those white clouds rolling up on the horizon look cool against the rest of the clouds.

Clouds from the back window.

Cloudy day looking south.
So now you know it isn't always sunny here!
It was, however, in the mid-60s.  Not bad.

Sunset in the rearview mirror of the car.

Last rays of light.

January 26, 2015, Monday

Steven climbing the ladder on the back, to put more silicone caulk on some of the seams.

Scott peering at me from his blankets.

Don't take a picture of me!

Had to go to North Las Vegas today.
You can see snow on Mt. Charleston in the back ground.
Brown smog in the distance in front of the mountains.  Ick.

We bought Scott his own Tablet.  He can find his way all over our tablets and play games.
So we got one to put games and educational things on for him.  His very own.
