May 9, 2015, Saturday, the day we got home from snowbirding.

Scenery along western Idaho between below Moscow, Idaho.

Scenery along Hwy. 95 in western Idaho, below Moscow, Idaho.

The river along the highway.  I knew what it was but now I can't remember.

River along Hwy. 95 below Moscow, Idaho

Same thing but slightly different!

A field of Mustard in western Idaho

Looking back down on Lewiston, Idaho.  Or was it Moscow, Idaho?

This was in one of the logging towns in northern Idaho.  Anyone know what that big wooden or stone cone-type thing is?

East of Bonner's Ferry, Idaho, almost to the Montana state line.

Home!  This is actually the next morning.  We got home around midnight.
This is my lilac bush.  It's been planted for 9 years and has flower buds on it
for the first time!

This is the first time I have completed my snowbirding blog all the way through
until we got back home!  It was a great 5 1/2 months!  :)

May 8, 2015, Friday

All three of these pictures are from the area around where Nevada, Oregon,
and Idaho come together, along Hwy. 95.

We drove from Winnemucca, Nevada to just north of Boise, Idaho,
where we spent the night at a friend's house.

It's an open, remote, and beautiful area.

May 7, 2015, Thursday

Scott asleep in the car, surrounded by a junkyard of his toys and stuff!

Me, awake (thankfully! lol) at the wheel, taking a selfie.

Steven, taking a picture of me.  Which is still on his camera and I haven't seen it!

This picture was just to show the thick dark forest along the interstate east of
Sacramento, California.  Taken while I was driving.

Snow on the mountains as we began the climb up Donner pass from the west.

More snow.  Something of a novelty after a winter in southern Nevada without snow.

Nothing exciting, just the road in front of me as we wound up the pass.

Donner pass, below the summer.

I'm pretty sure this picture is supposed to be farther down.  It's Donner Lake, over the
east side of Donner Pass.

It was cold and snowing at the top of Donner Pass.
Just a few days ago we were in Death Valley and it was 103 degrees!

That haze is big snowflakes falling on a pond right before the summit
on Donner Pass.

The summit.

Going down the east side of Donner Pass.
The scenery is a lot better in person.  Pictures don't give it justice.

Snow on the downhill side.

This is way down the east side of the pass, east of Truckee, California.

Reno, Nevada, from I-80.

Sunset in northern Nevada
We stopped for the night at Winnemucca.

The mountains reflecting light from the sunset.
