February 14, 2015, Saturday

We rode bicycles to Overton, 34-mile round trip.
That's Steven's new cargo trailer.  On the way home it carried two gallons of milk (in
insulated bags), cheese (also in an insulated bag), a gallon of water (for the ride home), and assorted
groceries like oatmeal and bananas.

Scott gets settled in comfortably  with his leg over the side of the seat.
He loves the ride to town, and sings and talks and makes sound effects the whole way.

A "selfie" of Scott and I while we wait at the Post office.
Steven went in to get the mail.

We had a big package today.  It's a cargo rack that goes into a receiver hitch on the back
of a vehicle.  He strapped it on the cargo trailer.

Off we go down the road.  It didn't go all the way home with us.  We left it in our storage unit a few
blocks from the post office, and picked it up with the car next time we were in town.

We stopped at the bike shop and they looked at my bicycle so they could order the parts it needs
for an overhaul.  Some new sprockets and chain and gear cables and stuff.  My bicycle is 7 years
old and has been on some long trips and a lot of shorter ones over those years.

McDonald's for lunch.

Scott lounges on the seat with his tablet.

Steven on his tablet.  My tablet laying there while I took the picture.
I was catching up on my "Words with Friends" games, which is basically Scrabble.
We had the tablets in our bicycle bags.

Scott got to flirting with these girls.  They thought he was charming.  They were trying to
teach him a game.

Now we're on the long road home.

About halfway home there's a picnic table in a walled shelter near the National Park entrance station.
We took a break in there.  It was around 80 degrees today, sunny and calm.  Hot riding.
But it was a fun day!
