April 24, 2015 Friday

We hiked from Blue Point Spring to Valley of Fire.
Scott carried his own backpack with snacks and juice boxes in it.

There is a lizard in here, or rather what we were told is a horned toad.

Here it is again.  Good camoflage.

Scott was so excited, he often ran first on the trail.

Then he'd have bursts of "I'm Ti----red" and ride on Steven's shoulders.

Scott in a sandstone cave.

He loved digging in the sand in the caves.

Scott and Steven.

Looking out of the little cave we took our break in.

This boulder appears to be balancing on a thin strand.

Looking out of another cave we rested in.

That rock looks like a bear, facing to the right.

Scott took a picture looking up a tunnel out the back of a cave.
We ate lunch here.
Only Rusty knows that we lugged a barbeque grill, steaks, and cold beer back here....
Ha ha ha!

Scott running after Grandpa, revitalized by lunch.

Scott exploring another cave.

Looking at Steven as he rests on the rocky wall outside the cave.

That rock in the middle of the desert floor looks like it has an alien face.

We found the bones of a young burro.
He wanted to know what all the pieces were.

Another ride on Grandpa's shoulders.

Scott sitting on Grandma's lap and eating a pop tart.

Later he sat on Grandma's lap and ate popcorn.

Grandma and Scott.

Grandma (fixing her hat) and Scott.
