December 12, 2014 Friday

Breakfast.  Grilled cheese sandwich.  And cartoons on the little DVD player.

Scott laid out those DVD boxes and said it was a butterfly.  The center one is the body,
 the outer ones are wings.

Fall is here, in Overton.  This is the curve by the Robbin's nest trailer park as you come into town from the south.  The leaves turn yellow in early December and fall by mid-December.  By February they'll be leafing out again.  Short season of rest.

Looking toward town.  On the right, past those cars, is Family Dollar,
then the grocery store (Lin's), then McDonald's.
On the left is an ice cream store/restaurant, and a couple of bars.  The rest of
the businesses are in the next blocks past that.

The thrift store in the old senior center.
It's only open on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings.
It's the big event to come to town one of those days and shop there.

The gas station.  Only one in town.
It's across the street from the post office.

The post office.

Our mailbox is waaaaaay back in the corner, on the left.
But at least it's right at elbow-level, easy to reach!

Scott at the library, playing with puzzles.

He got to decorate a foam Christmas tree!
It was "Open House" and they had refreshments and crafts.

The wind picked up so we put up the wind turbine.  We had to work in the rain, and it was nasty.

Looking out toward the lake and mountains....yeah, they're there somewhere.
