First thing in the morning Scott was being a goofy boy! That's the lamp shade from the bedstand lamp. He was looking through it like a mask.
Off to the valley. Palm trees on Boulder Highway on the east side.
The radio was playing "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas".....
Yeah, not here!
The Park Service had a s'mores stand in front of the headquarters building along the parade route.
So Scott got to roast a marshmallow and make a s'more.
I roasted a marshmallow too!
The Lake Mead mascot, Cooper, with his 'handler'!
Lake Mead Mascot, Cooper, and I can't remember the young lady's name.
Cooper thinks he spots mischief afoot! lol
Scott bought a helmet at the Thrift store today and insisted on wearing it at the parade.
The Boulder City fire department was driving up and down the street in a golf cart selling
hot cocoa for $1 a cup. Notice the little girl on the left in the cart...she's wearing a set of turn-outs cut down to her size!
Here comes the parade!
The black pole reaching out over the street is the boom camera for
the TV station recording the parade.
The Boulder City Fire Department has this huge inflatable guy!
There it is from the back.
Scott went back two more times and roasted marshmallows and made
more s'mores.
A cool antique fire engine.
I don't remember who's float this was, the they did a cool job on the truck!
Lots of lights in this parade.
I'm sure these presents are for me!
This is a four-person bicycle. Two rows of seats, everyone pedaling.
Kind of ironic. A dinosaur in a santa outfit, and a nativity scene on a trailer behind it.
Not many Christmas parades have a live camel!
Santa, at the end of the parade, on a trailer pulled by a tractor!
There was a lot more in the parade, but these are
my favorite pictures.
The "dog" float was from See Spot Run, the local dog organization that built and runs our local dog park. Sandra, the chairwoman, is my next door neighbor.
ReplyDeleteI think Cooper's handler's name is Andrea (?). I should know that!
